5. On the passenger’s side locate the vehicle's
Positive (+) battery cable on Fuse Box

Using a wrench or socket, remove the nut
and place the ring terminal with
yellow wire
on stud. Replace the nut and tighten. Install
the 10-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
WARNING
All connections must be complete for the
T-Connector to function properly. Test and
verify installation with a test light or trailer
once installed.
6. Near center of vehicle, below trunk threshold,
clean a flat area using a mixture of rubbing
alcohol and water. Mount the T-Connector
black box using double-sided tape provided.
7. Secure the remainder of the T-Connector
harness with the cable ties provided, to
prevent damage or rattling and being careful
to avoid any areas that would pinch, cut
or melt the wire.
8. Replace carpet, wing nuts and any other
clips or panels that were removed during
installation being careful not to cut or pinch
the wires.
NOTE
Store 4-Flat connector in rear cargo area
when not in use.
WARNING
Overloading circuit can cause fires.
DO NOT exceed lower of towing
manufacturer rating or:
• Max. stop/turn light: 1 per side (2.1 amps)
• Max. tail lights: (5.6 amps)

1. Locate the vehicle wiring inside the vehicle's
trunk. Start by removing each of the plastic
wing nuts located behind the taillights

Carefully pull back the carpet and floor
trim panel to expose the vehicle’s taillight
wiring

2. Beginning with the passenger's side, slide
the red locking tab on the harness connector
to the unlocked position and disconnect the
wire harness from sockets. There will be
connection points matching the ends of the
T-Connector adapter. All connector surfaces
should be clean and free of dirt. Attach each
end to the T-Connector containing the
green
wire. Be sure that connectors are fully
inserted with locking tabs in place.
3. Route the connector containing the yellow
wire down the threshold to the driver side
of the vehicle

. Push the wiring between
the vehicle body and carpet. Repeat step 2
for T-Connector end with the
yellow wire.
4. Locate a suitable grounding point near the
connector such as the vehicle's frame or
cross member. (Do not drill into vehicle floor
or bed.) Clean dirt and rustproofing from
area. Drill a 3/32" hole and secure
white
wire using eyelet and screw provided.
CAUTION
Verify what is behind any surface prior
to drilling to avoid damage to the vehicle
and/or personal injury. Do not drill into any
exposed surfaces.
